Servolution is powerful when everyone joins together to serve others in Jesus name. It is intentionally giving and listening to a distraught neighbor in their time of need. It is our investment in missionaries on five continents, and our concern for the families down the street from the church who need a box of food. It begins in our hearts because Jesus loves and serves us well and asks us to do the same for others. Freely you have received, freely give.  

Our goal is to inspire and to call us all to the sacrifice needed in service. Giving is the heart of service. It only makes “Godly sense” to give ourselves and a portion of our money away. The world says we are fools, we say we being caught up in the current of a Servolution that glorifies Jesus in the earth.  

We believe that going on a trip with a mission can change a person forever. We also believe that going to work each day with a sense of mission can be just as effective. Our various gifts and our resources are to be expressions of Christ living through us to our lost world. There is a place for every person at Southgate to give, to work together and to learn to live a seamless life.  

We committed more than $95,000 in 2009 to missions. Nearly 60% of that total was directed to ministries in Michiana. We hope that every person at Southgate Church will begin to carry awareness, a heightened desire and live a life of service.
